"When I first read the memo from editor Craig, I was pretty upset. He was taking this product of my soul and butchering it! Then I read the edited text. Craig has done a wonderful job! He makes me sound even more brilliant than I could ever claim to be. I'm just a guy who has always believed that it is better to work smarter rather than harder. It's an even shorter book now, but it is a wonderfully concise guide to effective development projects."—Phil Wilson, Author of Inspired Innovation |

“In recent months, I have had the good fortune of working with Ann Marie on my long biography, A Lifetime in the Eye of the Storm. She is a wonderful editor. I am not merely referring to her professional and flawless editing, which comes from a keen attention to detail. Beyond her astuteness in suggesting changes and her unerring sense of balance, she has what great editing is about—the total grasp of the author’s vision, and the ability and desire to help the latter in his ambition to impart that vision.
Behind any published work of an author, a seasoned publisher or critic recognizes the editor. I will always be happy to give recognition to the outstanding quality of Ann Marie’s editing in this biography, and I hope in my other works soon to be published by American Book Publishing.” —Andre Nguyen Van Chau, Author of A Lifetime in the Eye of the Storm |

"I have appreciated the professional approach of American Book Publishing staff . They take their work seriously and are good at what they do. I know that my book presented special and unique challenges because of the size of the manuscript, but every problem was promptly addressed and solved in the best possible way. I especially appreciated the outstanding work of Jana, who designed the cover, of Bonnie, the copy editor, and of Jennifer who did the final production formatting and prepared the manuscript for the printer.
Their work was done cheerfully and professionally. Jeffrey, who has been encouraging me in the development of my marketing plan, has given me some great insights into how to give my book visibility and give it every fair chance to succeed.
From time to time I was frustrated that all communication was by e-mail, but in the final analysis, that proved to be in the best interest of all of us. Thank you for what you have done. I look forward to continuing a pleasant and productive relationship."—Val D. Greenwood, Author of How Often Would I Have Gathered You

"Being an amateur writer with Liquid Courage being my first work, I had no Idea of how to began locating someone to make my life long dream come true. I've always dreamed of writing a fiction novel. I searched the Internet for a company that could take my manuscript and develop it into a completed book. The Internet was filled with web sites of book companies willing to turn my rough draft into a finished book.
I contacted many sites for information. I was much impressed when the Director of Operations, of American Book Publishing and the literature of how ABP’s staff worked closely with the author. Harlow was my editor. He worked many days and nights turning my rough draft into a story that the reader could follow. Once he completed the last edit of Liquid Courage, the flow of the story was great. Harlow went way beyond the call of duty to help me. I'll have to tell you; he had his hands full with my incorrect spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and my patients. Thanks Harlow for your great editing expertise. I also would like to thank Bill for the design of my book, Jana, who came up with a great cover, Diane who worked with me in the design area, and kept me updated on the status of my book. Heather has also been helpful. To put all this in prospective, the complete staff was nice, courteous, and very knowledgeable. They were always there to answer my questions--large or small." —Eddie Ray Loden, Author of Liquid Courage |

"I never imagined that it took so much into putting a book together and preparing it for it's release. I have been very impressed with everything from the editing, designing and professionalism that your staff has exhibited throughout this entire process. I'm sure that with the numerous submissions that you receive that it can be at times somewhat over whelming by those who represent American Book Publishing. I would just like to let you know that I am very grateful to all of you who have taken the time to help make one of my dreams a reality. Once again thank you and your staff for everything and I look forward to working with you again in the near future." —E.R. Andrews, Author of Whispers in the Night |

"I am particularly pleased with the editing services provided by American Book Publishing, in that although many of my sentences were restructured, the real context of what I was saying was not changed in the least bit. In going through all the changes made by my editor (Jen), I have managed to sharpen up significantly on my writing skills in my subsequent books, (I have completed three more books since then), and believe very much that I am indeed now a much better writer." —Milton Boothe, Author of 52 Sermons |

"The goal of American Book Publishing is to publish quality books. They choose their authors carefully. The editors are chosen to enhance the authors' thoughts and ideas into a finished product that will not be forgotten. My editor (Harlow) did just that.
Next up, Jana of the Design Department did a wonderful job fulfilling what I would like for the cover design of my book, Walking Down The Wrong Path. The cover designer of my book, Tim, (an
extremely talented artist) went far beyond what I asked for and created a, "masterpiece" for my cover. After the editing was finished, I discovered there was a computer glitz and many corrections had to be made on my manuscript. Book Production Manager, Jennifer came to the rescue.
The Marketing Department works with the author to make sure the final product will be distributed
properly. Jeffrey uses his skills to accomplish this with his courteous and respectful communications."—Kathleen Kohlberg, Author of Walking Down The Wrong Path |

"I had a spectacular and rewarding experience working with Katie, my editor. Over the time we worked together she taught me numerous tips and tricks to self editing and taught me to question every aspect of my novel. Sarah, the cover designer did a fantastic job in creating nearly lifelike images of my main characters, and did it in such a dark and sinister way as to go along with the premise of 'Hell's Gates swinging wide." —E. "I am much obliged to American Book Publishing Group for their expert editing and design of my book The Lion of Saint Catharine. To my surprise -- having worked with some less that efficient publishers – American Book Publishing remained in close contact with me via email from the beginning. Editing the book was exceptionally well done and professional. The editing process was even more than I expected -- not only correcting all grammatical mistakes but suggesting certain changes that almost always proved to be useful and were incorporated into the final text.
As for the art work -- wow! I never expected such a powerful and evocative cover. I've published books on commercial presses that have given me much less attention and service. Just so you know these words aren't from an amateur, I'm the author of "Appalachian Genesis" and "The Hogs of Cold Harbor", the latter endorsed by no less than America's last living literary lion Norman Mailer, winner of two Pulitzer Prizes and The National Book Award.
American Book Publishing is a great publishing outfit and I highly recommend it to any author with a salable product who has enough faith in his or her work to help turn it into a good seller if not a best seller."—Richard Lee Fulgham, Author of The Lion of St. Catharine |

Besides, American Book Publishing accomplished an outstanding job editing the book. The cover design is innovative and the final printing and product pleasing to the eyes."—Henri

"My life-long dream of becoming a published author has come true thanks to American Book Publishing. They believed in me which has helped me believe in myself. Being assigned a full-time editor was an extremely rewarding experience. His personal interest in my novel, as well as myself, was remarkable. The design team worked diligently to come up with the perfect cover--and they did exactly that. As far as the production and marketing departments, their support continues to amaze me. I have been sent media listings, given great advice, and even pushed when I needed to be. I will forever be in debt to the staff of American Book Publishing."—William S. "The marketing help American book publishing has given me has been invaluable.
They designed the book's eye-catching cover (in two Christmas colors!) and gave me ideas for bookstore displays. American Book Publishing provided me lists of book reviewers, and independent bookstores, gift shops and others that might be interested in my book. They helped me draft letters to reviewers and booksellers and gave me ideas for follow-up. American Book Publishing even made arrangements for me to attend an independent booksellers convention. The help American Book Publishing has given me would have cost thousands of dollars if I had used a professional publicist, or thousands of hours if I had tried to do it on my own.
As far as the editing process goes, I like my editor because her comments and suggestions truly make the manuscript better, rather than attempt to change my writing style. And her comments really are suggestions, allowing me to have the final say, which I consider important. Her turnaround has generally been very quick, and I also appreciate that. Thanks American Book Publishing!" —Warren J. Ludlow, Author of The Presents of Angels |

"OPERATIONS- American Book Publishing selected our book for publication, even though we are a couple of first time, unknown authors. American Book Publishing Author's Guide walked us through each step of the process and provided a detailed, and professional basis for our personal understanding of the publication process.
EDITING- American Book Publishing matched us with the perfect editor for our book. The whole editing process transformed our initial manuscript into a polished book that we had, only dimly, envisioned at the beginning of our project.
DESIGN- It has been said that "you can't judge a book by its cover". American Book Publishing Design Department doesn't subscribe to that theory. The Design Department uses a unique process to capture the author's ideas regarding the cover design and builds upon those ideas to create a book cover that is perfectly suited to the book's content and theme.
PRODUCTION- The process of actually turning our manuscript into a book was accomplished with vigor by the Production Department. We had a marketing opportunity that American Book Publishing recognized and made every effort to meet every request we made to them. American Book Publishing even constructed a personalized shipping program for our book that resulted in the book being delivered to a critical customer well ahead of an important deadline.
MARKETING- Constantly refreshed updates from the Book Marketing Department of American Book Publishing has insured that our book received the maximum media and professional book reviewer coverage. The Marketing Department worked with us to hone our sales plan into an efficient, and inexpensive package. We further enjoyed the direct, personal attention of the Director of the Marketing Department." —Pete and Steve, Co-Authors of The Citizen's SMART Book |

"My experience with American Book Publishing has been most enlightening. As an author working with a professional editor for the first time I really enjoyed my experience.
My editor Angela turned out to be a great fit, as she knew something about farm life since she lives on a small farm. This was important since the subject matter in Bull Justice has a lot to do with the dairy industry. Angela was a great help in suggesting ways to improve the manuscript from end to end. She was very in tune to what the story is about and how we needed to get to a satisfactory finish.
She also was instrumental and very helpful in the design of the cover since she understood what a dairy bull is supposed to look like."—Glen Jensen, Author of Bull Justice |

“Many new authors dream of the opportunity to actually write and produce a book worthy of publishing. While ideas are never in short supply, verbalizing these into a concise package that can be produced into an actual book is certainly more that mere authorship. The American-Book.com editing process and staff demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. From project management to creative input, all of my tasks/deliverables were clear and the results made significantly better due to the collaboration. "It’s hard to know where to begin to describe the incredible experience it is to work with American Book Publishing. I suppose the best place to start is with the beginning. Jean-Marie and I had a story that was entrusted to us by a force that was beyond our combined imaginations, and that it was time to bring it forward in today’s turbulent times. I searched for a publisher to whom this book could be entrusted. I found American Book Publishing, much like you the reader, through the Internet.
It was their guidelines of picking only stories that would rate as a G movie that attracted us... It was effortless to consummate the business transaction, unlike any other business dealing I had ever experienced. The contract was very fair and the terms…well, for the first time I didn’t have to negotiate.
Never having written a novel, I always thought the edit process would be horrific. However, working with Linda, the assigned editor, the process was an extraordinary adventure in discovering a better writer within myself. Areas, I knew myself need work, but didn’t know exactly how to address, she would illuminate a path of possibilities. Linda’s insights added another level of depth and magic to the story. American Book Publishing’s editor was like having a partner who strove as hard as you did as author to make the book exceptional.
The cover design was the next milestone. I had a vague idea what it should convey. Jana transformed a vague concept into a magical visual piece of art. Not even in my imagination, and I have a vivid one, could I have pictured the simplistic elegance with which she capture the essence of innocence embodied in child’s simple quest.
Working with everyone at ABP was perhaps the best business and relationship experience I’ve ever had. Any author accepted by ABP should truly feel fortunate. In short, working with American Book Publishing was extraordinary. I hope to continue to have a long relationship, because there is no other publisher I would ever want to work with." —Bernadette G. "As a first time book writer I had some serious reservations about being able to find a publisher who would not only be willing to publish my book but would respect my approach to the topic and how I wanted the material presented. I found such a publisher in American Book
Publishing.
Professionalism is the word that describes everything they do. The guidelines (almost 50 pages) to a new author at first seemed overwhelming but as I read them I realized how much time and experience had gone into developing each and every one of these guidelines. After all they are meant to help us as writers to avoid the many pitfalls we can fall into because of our inexperience. My biggest dread was being assigned an editor. I thought this person would have their own ideas about my ideas and how my stories could be presented better or at least differently. Not so.
My editor was perfectly clear on her job as being to help me to clarify what I was saying so that it would be clear to others. She often questioned what I was trying to say and sometimes challenged my thought process but always in the spirit of making it better. When my book is published there will not be one extra word in it that doesn’t have to be there. What better compliment can you pay to an editor than that. I was also concerned about the cover because I had a definite idea about how I wanted that done. I submitted my idea and it was well received – they liked the simplicity of it. But I was asked if I would like one of their artists to see if it could be improved. I was sure it couldn’t be improved but agreed to let someone take a crack at it. I was amazed. They exceeded my wildest expectations and came up with a much improved cover. It has been an absolute delight dealing with everyone at American Book Publishing." —Angus MacIntyre Author of Jobs Are Not the Answer |

"Working with the professionals at American Book Publishing is an ongoing learning experience. The men and women in the editing, design, production, and marketing departments are teachers as well as mentors. I have the distinct feeling that if I need to go back and ask questions from my assigned editor, she would gladly accommodate me. This helpful attitude permeates throughout American Book Publishing.
I have learned more about the writing/publishing world than I ever learned from other "writer friendly" sites. These dedicated people have also become internet friends. It's nice to know that there's always someone I can turn to for advice. Please notice that I am writing in the present tense; my adventure as an author, I believe, is just beginning."—Michael W. "As for American Book Publishing's services in relation to me: Editing Culture Shock! with Leticia was a real pleasure. Not only did she perform greatly, frequently being right on target, but she was also always available. I felt I was working with a highly dependable professional who took the time to answer the many question I had.
Jana did a tremendous job on the front cover. The way she blended the different concepts highlighted in the book into something altogether funny and mysterious is -to put it simply- brilliant.
Overall, ABP has been a great team to work with. Always reliable, always friendly. Thank you American Book Publishing!"—Paul Badeau Author of Culture Shock! |

"My editor Lou did a wonderful job of helping me trim my manuscript in some places, and build it in others. She not only helped me polish my novel, she helped me to become a more focused, effective writer in the process. Mynderd, together with Jana and the rest of the design staff, created a cover that beautifully captured the spirit of the story. They worked hard to ensure that the cover was not only eye-catching, but a reflection of the story I wanted to tell. The finished product was everything I'd hoped for.
I'd also like to tell you that tomorrow will mark the one year anniversary of the day I signed my
American Book Publishing contract. During this year, I have frequently been impressed by the skilled, professional way in which my manuscript has been handled. My editor, Lou, has been phenomenal--I've told her more than once that she not only edited my book, she helped me to become a better writer. I am proud to be associated with American Book Publishing, and I wanted to express my gratitude to you and to the ABP team. I look forward to the exciting changes that this year promises to bring, and I look forward to being part of the American Book Publishing family for many years to come." —Patrick Spadaccino Author of The Far-Away Hearts Club
